Meet Christy Ruggieri – Your Child’s Resilience Trainer

I’m Christy Ruggieri, a resilience coach dedicated to empowering youth ages 6 to 16 with the social, emotional, and academic skills they need to thrive.

A proud mother of 2 boys ages 10 and 13, I am a former banking executive who took a drastic left turn in her career. As our beautiful family was hit with an ADHD, ODD, Asperger's and OCD diagnosis, our life was turned up-side-down. After walking away from a huge career, I redirected my energy over the past 2 years on working with my sons, coaching them through health ups and downs while focusing on positivity, routine, and personal acceptance.

I am happy to report both boys are thriving and now have a strong foundation to succeed. I can't wait to share everything I've learned with you and your kids!

With a Bachelor’s in Information Systems and an MBA in Marketing and Finance, my journey began in the corporate world, but my true passion has always been helping kids build confidence, resilience, and meaningful connections. For the past decade, I’ve worked with youth through organizations like the Boy Scouts of America and volunteered in schools, supporting kids in their personal growth and development.

Now, through my new company, Grit and Grow Academy, LLC, I bring a fresh and innovative approach to resilience coaching. One of my unique methods involves using video games as a tool for connection. By engaging kids in interactive, cooperative play, I help them build friendships, improve social skills, and develop teamwork—all within a comfortable and familiar environment.
